Welcoming Optus Small Sided Football!

Small Sided Football provides an enjoyable participation experience for young people of all abilities with a major focus on skill development through freedom of expression, minimal coaching, and limited emphasis on the scoreboard.

Small Sided Football is a modified version of the game designed to meet the needs of players aged between 5 and 12. The smaller sized field with fewer numbers of players per team encourages more touches on the ball and opportunities for more goals to be scored.

We want to recognise you!

Football Federation Australia, in conjunction with Football Federation Victoria, and with the support of the Melbourne Victory and the Victorian Government has created the Volunteer Recognition Program (VRP), which aims to provide clubs with resources and information to support their hardworking and dedicated volunteers.

The VRP encourages the acknowledgement of volunteers, which in turn:

• Improves the quality of service to participants of football clubs
• Reduces turnover of volunteers
• Creates a better environment for all players, parents and volunteers at your football club

Evan Berger presented Sian Porcaro of Knox City Soccer Club with her signed Melbourne Victory strip as the winner of a Volunteer Recognition Program competition in 2009.
