Etihad Stadium
Etihad Stadium is a multi-purpose designed facility to cater for major sporting and entertainment events, as well as social, business and private functions. Situated in the heart of Melbourne’s Docklands, just minutes from the CBD, with a fully retractable roof, Etihad Stadium is Australia’s most unique sports and entertainment venues.
After the phenomenal success of Victory’s first scheduled game at Etihad Stadium against Sydney FC in Round 2 of the Hyundai A-League 2006/07 season, the club opted to move the large majority of remaining home matches from Olympic Park Stadium to Etihad Stadium.
Following Victory’s win against Adelaide United in the Major Semi Final, Etihad Stadium was selected to host the Hyundai A-League 2007 Grand Final, where an Australian domestic football record crowd of 55,436 saw Melbourne overcome the Reds 6-0 to secure the Hyundai A-League Championship.
On event days, parking is available under Etihad Stadium off the Bourke Street Extension or Wurundjeri Way. Limited public parking is subject to availability in Car Parks 2 and 5. Etihad Stadium is a four-minute walk from Southern Cross Station.
Numerous trains, trams and buses arrive and depart regularly from Southern Cross Station, including regional and metropolitan services. Click here for more detailed information on public transport at Etihad Stadium.
