what is the academy program?

Melbourne Victory’s Academy programs are built to identify and nurture the best developing talent throughout Victoria, with the Club’s Player Development Pathway plotting a course from community-based football to the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and A-League Women and beyond.
Each of the programs on offer throughout the Player Development Pathway are designed to cater to and encourage a player’s natural development, introducing young players to important training and game concepts that guide them from the training for fun phase and community football, to the elite levels of the game.

Who is the Academy Program for?

The Academy Program is designed for players whom Melbourne Victory have identified as prospective professional players.

What are the age groups of the Academy Program?

The Academy Program competes in the U14, U15, U16, U18, U21 Reserves, and U23 NPL competitions.

How often does the Academy Program train?

Training occurs four times weekly in the evenings, with an integrated approach across the technical, tactical, physical and psychological co-actives.

Does Melbourne Victory have a Girls Academy Program?
