2019 WorkSafe Club Victory continues this weekend

2019 WorkSafe Club Victory continues this weekend

The 2019 WorkSafe Club Victory tournament continues on Saturday 23 March, with places in the tournament finals up for grabs.

On a bumper day of football at West Point Soccer Club in Point Cook, nine clubs will field 30 teams across four age groups, with all competing for the opportunity to contest the Club Victory tournament finals on Sunday 31 March at Gosch’s Paddock.

Melbourne Victory looks forward to welcoming teams from West Point Soccer Club, Moreland Zebras, Berwick City, Altona City, Meadow Park Eagles, Bell Park Sports Club, Point Cook Soccer Club, Ashburton United and Murray United for the day’s competition.

Following a round robin format one team from each age group will progress through to the finals, with Beaumaris Soccer Club awaiting the winners of the Under 8, Under 10 and Under 11 classification and Berwick City readying themselves for the best performed team from the Under 12 age group.

All told, the Club Victory program is a network of 45 community clubs and 650 junior players from across regional and metropolitan Victoria.

Melbourne Victory is proud of the relationships it maintains with community clubs across the state and alongside WorkSafe Victoria is committed to supporting and encouraging grassroots football.
