A-League preview: Glory v Victory

A-League preview: Glory v Victory

Melbourne Victory’s busy run of fixtures continues with a trip to Perth to face the Glory on Sunday.

Summary

Victory will play its third game in eight days and fifth in 17 when it meets Perth at HBF Park.

It goes into the clash on the back of a 2-1 loss to Macarthur in an encounter in which it was left to rue missed chances.

Elvis Kamsoba’s second goal of the A-League season put Victory ahead, but it squandered numerous opportunities – particularly in the first half – before falling to defeat.

Kamsoba’s strike was set up by a flick on from Rudy Gestede, who has two assists and three goals in 12 A-League appearances this campaign.

After an impressive first half, Brandon Lauton limped off against Macarthur.

However, Victory is set to regain Storm Roux after the right-back served a suspension, while Ben Folami may also return.

Victory left-back Adama Traore will miss one more game due to suspension before being available for the meeting with Macarthur on May 14.
