AAMI Park Named Finalist for International Venue of the Year Award

Melbourne’s iconic rectangular stadium is in the running against the following five of the world’s leading sporting venues, to take out TheStadiumBusiness’ Awards 2018 top accolade.

This is a tribute to its outstanding performance over the past year playing home to our city’s premier NRL, Rugby Union and A-League competitions; meanwhile undergoing phenomenal transformations to host Monster Jam and mega-star concerts by Sir Paul McCartney, SIA and Bruce Springsteen.

AAMI Park hosted a phenomenal total of 58 major public events and welcomed over 784,666 patrons through its turnstiles in 2017. Among hundreds of entries, it was selected by the global Awards Committee recognising leadership, innovation and achievement in the delivery, operation and management of sports facilities.
