AFC Champions League opponent confirmed

Melbourne Victory will take on Thai powerhouse Muangthong United in its 2014 AFC Champions League qualifier on Saturday night at Kardinia Park.

Melbourne Victory will take on Thai powerhouse Muangthong United in its 2014 AFC Champions League qualifier on Saturday night at Kardinia Park.

Muangthong United defeated Hanoi T&T early Sunday morning to progress through to the next stage, which will see them take on Melbourne Victory in Geelong.

The winner of the February 15 match will progress straight through to the AFC Champions League group stages, with a trip to Guangzhou Evergrande first up.

Saturday night’s winner will take on the reigning champions on February 26.

Melbourne Victory v Muangthong United will be broadcast across Australia on Fox Sports.
