Terry Antonis can’t wait to hit the ground running at Melbourne Victory, after returning to the Hyundai A-League on a two and a half year deal.

The 24-year-old joins Victory following a stint overseas with Greece’s PAOK FC and Holland’s VVV-Venlo.

“It’s a big club, a massive club in Australia so I wanted to come here and show what I can do,” Antonis said.

“I’m excited to be here and I can’t wait to get started.”

Antonis, who has 80 A-League appearances to his name, is no stranger to the way Victory plays.

“I’ve played against them many times and they always played a good brand of football and a good style, so when I got the chance to come here I was really excited.”

The midfielder said he gained a lot during his time playing overseas, but the opportunity for regular first-team football was too good to pass up.

“I learnt a lot and took good things away from it but now I want to play regular football, put my head down and work hard.”
