Billy Celeski and Leigh Broxham are on their way to Sydney for Melbourne Victory-s opening Hyundai A-League clash against Sydney FC, after the Olyroos bowed out of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Australia was eliminated from the Games following a 1-0 loss to Ivory Coast last night, which saw it finish third behind Argentina and Ivory Coast.

The result paved the way for Celeski and Broxham, who was an alternate player at the Olympic Games, to take on Sydney FC this Saturday, while the Archie Thompson, who injured his ankle against Argentina earlier this week, will travel directly to Melbourne.

Celeski played in all three of the Olyroos’ matches at the Olympic Games and was lively against Ivory Coast, creating a number of opportunities up front and causing trouble for the Ivorian defence.

Victory memberships for the Hyundai A-League 2008/09 season are currently available from the Victory Shop, 236 Swan Street, Richmond, by calling 1300 GO MVFC or online by clicking here.
