Melbourne Victory acknowledges today-s announcement by Football Federation Australia regarding new measures for active supporter areas.
Melbourne Victory remains committed to providing all members and fans with a safe and enjoyable match day experience and will continue to work with all relevant parties, including members, FFA, State Government, Victoria Police and stadium management over the coming weeks and months.
In conjunction with all stakeholders, the Club is determined to eradicate the anti-social minority that frequent some of our games and is disappointed the actions of a small number of people have now seen the FFA step in and make changes. The club however believes that if these measures are to be enforced on Melbourne Victory and Western Sydney Wanderers, it is only appropriate that they are applied across the entire league, also.
The Club will shortly be providing our members with further information about these measures, to ensure they are across the issues that have resulted in these changes being implemented by FFA.
