As many of you will be aware, there have been ongoing discussions between Melbourne Victory and the leadership of the North Terrace Collective (NTC) around active support.

As many of you will be aware, there have been ongoing discussions between Melbourne Victory and the leadership of the North Terrace Collective (NTC) around active support.

We have kept the discussion around these negotiations confidential out of respect to all parties, however, we believe it is now time to update all fans and members on the latest developments.

The club wants to deliver the best active supporter experience possible and has been in regular discussions with the NTC recently, to achieve an initial resolution that will in turn, create an opportunity to develop a mutually agreed model that facilitates growth and sustainability.

Given the NTC has now ceased discussions, it is important to note that the club has been willing to review and in fact lift the three measures in question (fence banners, perimeter tarping and access scanning into the active area), on the basis that we reach an agreeable model that achieves the fair outcomes we-re seeking;
– Limiting overcrowding in the North Terrace for safety purposes
– Protecting those who should rightfully be in the North Terrace
– Ability for the NTC to self-police

The club believes that the best way to create this model is to do it together with the NTC, and hence, we are absolutely open to ongoing discussions and negotiations. We want a resolution. Melbourne Victory-s active support provides an atmosphere unique to the Melbourne sporting landscape and we know that all members and fans, as well as everyone at the club, including players, are after a speedy resolution.

The club will advise its members and fans of any developments on the matter.
