Knox United Soccer Club’s ‘Flames’ Wheelchair team will compete in their 3rd consecutive Grand Final against Glen Eira this Saturday 1pm at Springers Leisure Centre, Keysborough.

Club President, Felice Lomuto, is extremely passionate about the Wheelchair Football program.

“We are incredibly proud as a club to support such an inspiring group of players and carers and we would urge anyone with a passion for football to come down to the Grand Final and support both teams,” Mr Lomuto said.

Wheelchair Football is open to everyone prepared to play in a wheelchair – either electric or manual.

It provides people with physical and multiple disabilities with the opportunity to compete in a team sport.

“All of the participants are unique. Yes, it can be a little confronting but you will soon realise why these games are so beneficial to all those involved. You will see the overhwhelming enthusiasm in the players & supporters faces as they compete – their spirit shining through for all to see.”
