Following the excitement of Melbourne Victory’s 2009 Grand Final win and a well earned break, the players have returned to the training track in preparation for the club’s 2009/10 assault.

The Age Junior Development Clinics concluded at Gosch-s Paddock, with Melbourne Victory stars Ney Fabiano, Jose Luis Lopez and Carlos Hernandez in attendance.

A competition was held for The Age Junior Development Clinics participants that saw 30 lucky winners attend the club-s first training session, where new signings Glen Moss and Mathew Theodore were in action.

Melbourne Victory stars Danny Allsopp, Steven Pace and Tom Pondeljak were on hand for the official opening of the new KFC on Level 1 at Crown Entertainment Complex, while Allsopp, Evan Berger and Matthew Kemp supported young footballers at the Peninsula Strikers- season launch, courtesy of sponsor Colby.

Melbourne Victory Schools 5-a-Side Gala Days took place throughout regional Victorian cities including Geelong, Ballarat, Mildura, Swan Hill, Cobram, Wodonga, Shepparton, Korumburra, Morwell and Sale.

The program has reached approximately 1600 participants from 62 schools to date and Melbourne Victory Women defenders Marlies Oostdam and Bronwyn Nutley have provided participants with first hand tips and encouragement.
