Melbourne Victory wishes to remind all members, fans and spectators that there has been a venue change for our home fixture this Sunday, January 9 against Adelaide United.

Sunday’s game has been moved from Etihad Stadium and will now be played at AAMI Park.

Melbourne Victory will look to make it 11-straight wins against arch-rival Adelaide United in unfamiliar territory, with the two clubs having never met at the new, purpose-built stadium.

It-s Blues v Reds, State v State in the much anticipated clash between traditional rivals.

For the first time, Adelaide come to our AAMI Park caldron, where fans will be closer to the action than ever before.

In Round 13 and leading 1-nil in the opening minutes, Adelaide must’ve thought their horror 9-game losing streak to Victory was about to end – enter Robbie Kruse and Carlos Hernandez! Both found the back of the net to stretch Melbourne’s amazing run to 10 successive wins over their South Australian rival.

With favourite son Danny Allsopp back in town, and Victory building plenty of momentum just 8 weeks out from the finals – there are nothing but exciting times ahead at AAMI Park.

Over 5,000 Premium C are seats available and with prices starting from as low as $27. Tickets at ticketek.com.au or by calling 132 849.

The venue switch came about as a result of the club receiving a registered concern from Etihad Stadium management, as to how the pitch will be presented for this fixture. Etihad Stadium management have prepared outstanding quality surfaces for their three A-League games in the 2010/11 season, and given the events held at the venue during the November/December period, stadium management wanted to ensure they weren-t delivering a below-par pitch.

The club believes there should be minimal impact to members and fans from a ticketing perspective.
