Schools from around Victoria have showcased their skills at the annual School Sport Victoria (SSV) Victory Cup for secondary schools and the SSV adidas Victory Cup for primary schools.

The partnership between Melbourne Victory Football Club and School Sports Victoria gave the state-s best young footballers a chance to represent their schools at Darebin International Sports Centre this week.

The adidas Victory Cup was awarded to the winning grade 5 and 6 primary school teams, with the Victory Cup handed out to high school winners from years 7 to 12.
Melbourne Victory players were also on hand to present the trophies, share their football knowledge, pose for photos and sign autographs.

Melbourne Victory and SSV are focused on developing grassroots football and supporting the explosive growth of the game throughout Victoria. In recent years, the participation rates of junior football have increased dramatically with many children seeing football as a fresh new alternative compared to other more traditional sporting codes.
