IMPORTANT: New Membership Model

On the back of the landmark announcement that Harry Kewell has signed with Melbourne Victory, the media and public interest has been extraordinary. With this, we also expect that the purchasing of memberships and daily attendance at games are likely to increase significantly.

On the back of the landmark announcement that Harry Kewell has signed with Melbourne Victory, the media and public interest has been extraordinary. With this, we also expect that the purchasing of memberships and daily attendance at games are likely to increase significantly.

Given that we play home games at both Etihad Stadium and AAMI Park, our ability to offer 13-game memberships at both venues is limited, due to stadium capacity variances.

We also have the hindsight benefits of having played one full season at AAMI Park, and understand the stadium capacity issues that were encountered. We have put processes in place to try and make the experience better for all, but also allow more people access to these games. One of the changes to note is the introduction of General Admission at AAMI Park this year, which will allow for more organic growth and provide the ability for members to bring friends to each game.

Membership Cap – 18,000

So given the stadium capacity constraints, coupled with the club-s wish to maximise the experience for its members and fans, and also allow fans to come and see Melbourne Victory in 2011/12 on a week-to-week basis, this season we will be capping 13-game memberships at 18,000. This is in line with our membership number in 2010/11.

Priority Period for 2010/11 members

The club is acutely aware of the wonderful support it has received from its members throughout the journey, and to show this support, we will be providing a priority period for non-renewed 2010/11 members. These members will have till midnight of Sunday, September 4 to renew their membership in an exclusive period. Please be aware, there will be caps on each of the sections (Premium A, Premium B, Premium C and General Admission), so we encourage to renew or upgrade to a reserve seats as soon as possible.
For new members, or those that weren-t a member in 2010/11 that want to buy a membership, please contact the club during the exclusive period and we-ll process your membership, but the priority will be given to 2011/12 members.

5-game Etihad Stadium memberships

When the membership cap is achieved, we will then be making available a 5-game Etihad Stadium blockbuster membership, which will feature games against Sydney FC, Melbourne Heart, Brisbane Roar, Perth Glory and Adelaide United. More details in relation to this membership will be provided shortly.

We believe this solution enables all of our members and fans to experience what is going to be an unbelievably exciting season ahead. We are prioritising our members, we-re providing opportunities for new members, and still enabling fans to get along on a week-to-week basis, to be part of Melbourne Victory in 2011/12.
