How would you like to take to the AAMI Park pitch, playing alongside Archie Thompson against a team of All-Stars?

Well, this is your chance! Archie is pulling on the boots again, lending his support to our annual Victory Against Cancer charity match. He will be captaining the Victory Fans team, facing off against George Calombaris’s All-Stars.

The All-Stars v Victory Fans Victory Against Cancer match will be held before the Hyundai A-League clash between Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United on Saturday, February 25.

What is the event?

Melbourne Victory has partnered with Cancer Council Victoria to host this event, which aims to promote the importance of health and physical activity through playing sport, whilst raising funds for cancer research.

Hear from Archie in the video, as he looks to build his team of Victory Fans to face the All-Stars!

How do I get a spot in the game?

Victory Fans are encouraged to start fundraising for the chance to run onto the pitch and play against a team of All-Stars. You don’t need to be a superstar. Just bring along your team spirit and have some fun!

You can be in the running to play if you:

  • Are one of our top five fundraisers – you are guaranteed a spot on the team, or
  • Raise $200 or more – you will go into the draw to win one of five spots on the team.

This event is open to anyone over the age of 18. Full terms and conditions available here

How do I fundraise?

To get started, set up an Everyday Hero fundraising page and add a message to your social networking sites explaining why you have chosen to fundraise. Each dollar raised will take you one step closer to playing on the AAMI Park pitch.

All money you raise will go towards Cancer Council Victoria’s important research, prevention programs and support services.

So join us on the pitch in the fight against cancer!
