Melbourne Victory teamed up with La Ionica to deliver the hospital visits, which will help local children kick start their way to lifelong healthy habits.

Northern Health CEO, Janet Compton, praised Melbourne Victory for donating their time and thanked sponsor La Ionica for arranging the inspirational visit.

“La Ionica has been a great supporter of Northern Health for many years, and their ongoing commitment to helping us provide quality heath care in our community is greatly appreciated,” Ms Compton said.

“Northern Health is focused on helping local children get and stay on the right track to healthy eating, with the aim to encourage lifelong healthy habits.

“The Lifestyle Education Activity Program (LEAP) Clinic at Craigieburn Health Service helps families manage their child-s weight issue using a family based approach incorporating a dietician, paediatrician and exercise physiologist.”

La Ionica spokesperson Pina DiDonato said the company was a firm believer in having strong ties with the community.

“Our charitable giving as a whole is focused on children and we believe the health of the next generation here in the northern community is very important,- Ms DiDonato said.

“We-re very pleased to support this visit and encourage children to lead healthy and active lifestyles.”
