The outstanding form of Melbourne Victory duo Marco Rojas and Natasha Dowie has been recognised with the pair named PFA A-League and W-League Players of the Month for November.

Voted on by all of the PFA’s A-League and W-League members, the attackers scored four goals between them for the month as they continued their impressive starts to their respective seasons.

England international Dowie said she was delighted to receive the award.

“This award means a lot to players and to have been chosen by my peers as the PFA W-League Player of the Month is a real honour,” said Dowie.

“Playing in the W-League has been a fantastic experience and one I have thoroughly enjoyed. I’d like to thank the players that voted for me and everyone at the club.”

Having returned to the Victory after three seasons with Stuttgart, Rojas said he was honoured to be named PFA A-League Player of the Month.

“To be voted by the A-League players as the PFA A-League Player of the month is very humbling,” said Rojas. “Being player voted makes this award very special and I’d like to thank my peers who voted for me.

“I’m very happy to be back in the A-League with Victory. The support I have received from the club, my teammates and the fans has been brilliant and I’m really enjoying my football.”

PFA president Alex Wilkinson said both Rojas and Dowie were deserving recipients of the awards.

“Both Marco and Natasha have excelled and are thoroughly deserving winners of the award for November,” said Wilkinson.

“They highlight the quality of players we have playing in our elite domestic competitions and the ever improving standard on the pitch.”
