Since 2017, Melbourne Victory and VU have been working together across a number of key focus areas including sports science, data analytics, research projects and high performance.

The partnership has also provided Victory staff with professional development opportunities and exciting career opportunities for VU students.

Melbourne Victory CEO, and former VU student, Trent Jacobs said the partnership continues to deliver positive outcomes for both organisations.

“On behalf of everyone at Melbourne Victory we are pleased to see our strong and very important relationship continue with Victoria University this season,” said Jacobs.

“Our partnership has been built on the foundations of an underlying passion for sport and exploring new and creative ways to improve both our on field and off field performance.

“We have a shared ambition to drive integrated education outcomes, we have seen many success stories over the course of our partnership, and we look forward to this continuing in season 2020/21.”

Victoria University’s Vice-President Future Students and Marketing Bronte Neyland said it was wonderful to see the partnership extended for the upcoming season.

“Victoria University is proud to continue its partnership with Melbourne Victory in 2021, a partnership that has grown significantly since it commenced in 2017,” Neyland said.

“Our partnership provides a range of opportunities to the VU community, including industry placements for VU students at the club. Most students who undertake placements secure work with the club upon graduating from their VU qualifications.

“The University has also begun to work with the club’s community arm to deliver education and pathway advice to youth participants of their programs. We look forward to welcoming participants to VU as students.”
