Melbourne Victory CEO Geoff Miles said the club-s stake in the new innovation fitness club is a long-term strategy aimed at assisting revenue generation outside of football.
“Genesis Fitness Clubs is an excellent fit for Melbourne Victory and will allow us to further interact with the community and continue to promote a healthy lifestyle,” Miles said.
“As a club with teams in the Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League, representing both genders, we are pleased to associate ourselves with Genesis Fitness Clubs.”
Genesis Fitness Box Hill will present as a full-size fitness club, and also has a vision to provide wellness solutions at an affordable price.
Spread over 2000 square metres, the fitness club will offer over 60 pieces of cardio equipment and modern weight training equipment encompassing machine and free weights.
The club on Middleborough Road in Box Hill South will also offer a day spa, wellness philosophies, including body and mind dedicated areas, free education and information seminars for members.
In addition, Genesis Fitness Box Hill will host a boxing training centre that will deliver comprehensive boxing training programs and a full-size boxing ring.
Genesis Fitness Box Hill is the 32nd member of the Genesis Fitness Club family, with 22 currently in Victoria, six in Queensland, two in New South Wales and one in Tasmania.
With Genesis Fitness having five other Melbourne city-based clubs, Genesis Fitness Box Hill will give members the flexibility to either workout close to home or in town if they work in the city.
