Monash Freeway and CityLink closures this Saturday

As part of the M1 upgrade project, another major piece of work will be carried out over the weekend of Saturday, 28 February. During these works, parts of the Monash Freeway and CityLink will be closed to traffic and delays are expected.

As part of the M1 upgrade project, another major piece of work will be carried out over the weekend of Saturday, 28 February. During these works, parts of the Monash Freeway and CityLink will be closed to traffic and delays are expected.

Freeway and tunnels closure

On Saturday, 28 February, CityLink and the Monash Freeway will be closed to motorists from Kings Way to Burke Road both inbound and outbound from 9pm on Saturday until 9am on Sunday, 1 March.

Both the Burnley and Domain CityLink tunnels will be closed during these times to allow maintenance works to be carried out.

A fully signed detour route will be provided for people during and prior to the closure and details of these routes can be found on the project website at www.mcwupgrade.com.au.

West Gate Freeway delays

Works on the West Gate Freeway section of the M1 upgrade project are also planned over the weekend of Saturday, 28 February.

Lane closures on the West Gate Freeway eastbound between Cook Street and Lorimer Street will be gradually put into place from 8pm on Saturday.

Lane closures will remain in place until around 5am on Sunday, 1 March.
