Melbourne Victory makes the trip to Knights Stadium to face Sunshine George Cross in the NPL2 West on Saturday.

Victory heads into the clash after back-to-back losses, including a 2-1 defeat to Whittlesea Ranges.

Nicholas Sette scored his fifth goal of the campaign before Ranges came from behind at Epping Stadium.

The meeting with George Cross marks Victory’s second last outing of the season.

Victory is eighth on the table, seven points clear of the bottom-placed Sunshine.

When the teams met in May, Victory recorded a dramatic 2-1 win at Epping Stadium.

Head coach Gareth Naven

“The season has flown by. Nothing changes a lot for us from week to week in regards to our effort, our performance – which is important to us – and I think every week the group are learning, getting better. Sometimes they stumble a bit, but they pick themselves up and come back the next week for more, which is an important quality. I’m just looking for us to learn from last week’s game and what we need to do better and be accountable for our performance.”
