Melbourne Victory’s Associate Partner, the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, has launched a world-first problem gambling campaign ‘Fight for the real you’.
The campaign features four real people sharing real stories of tackling their problems with gambling.
Experiencing problems with gambling can happen to anyone at any time, and overcoming these problems isn-t always easy. The campaign seeks to create community awareness, break down the stigma surrounding problem gambling and encourage people to seek help.
The heroes’ stories will be shared via internet films, TV, cinema and online commercials, through radio advertisements, and posters in gaming venues.
‘Fight for the real you’ is more than an advertising campaign. The 100 Day Challenge is a new online support service open to anyone wanting to take control of their gambling.
People can sign up for their own private challenge, find out about counselling options, join online forums, receive tips and tools for controlling their gambling, and keep their own private written or video diary.
