Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat has confirmed Thompson, who has missed the last five weeks with a hamstring complaint, will play a part in this week’s clash, while Nick Ansell, Scott Galloway, Jason Geria and Connor Pain are away on Young Socceroos duty.
Defender Adrian Leijer, who picked up a red card in last week’s match against Brisbane, is also unavailable due to suspension.
