Talented Socceroos midfielder Tom Rogic will tomorrow arrive at Melbourne Victory to finalise his loan, until the end of May, from Celtic FC.

The 21-year-old is expected to play a key part in the Club-s 2013/14 Hyundai A-League season and will also be involved in Melbourne Victory’s upcoming Asian Champions League campaign, which begins with a must-win qualifier in Geelong on Saturday, February 15.

Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat said he was thrilled to be able to welcome Rogic.

“There has been a lot of interest in Tom-s immediate future ahead of the World Cup and we are very pleased that his club, Celtic, has decided that Melbourne Victory is the best-fit for him at this stage of his career,” Muscat said.

“Tom is a talented young player and we look forward to seeing him grow even further during his time with us, both in our domestic competition as well as the Asian Champions League.”

Rogic made 23 appearances with Central Coast Mariners, before moving to Scottish Premier League giants, Celtic FC.

Pending receipt of an International Transfer Certificate, it is hoped Rogic will be available for selection in Melbourne Victory-s U-NITE match against Sydney FC on Australia Day.

Meanwhile, Melbourne Victory can also confirm that Mitch Nichols will be released by the club, with the midfielder set to sign for J-League outfit Cerezo Osaka, provided the 24-year-old passes a medical.

Nichols made 14 Hyundai A-League appearances for the club during the 2013/14 season after making his debut in the opening round.
