Melbourne Victory Our Game Our Community are proud to announce the 2nd Victory for Girls Tournament to be held on Sunday February 16, 2013. We will be holding and running the female only tournament on Gosch-s Paddock. The tournament will host over 200 young girls aged 9 – 16yrs and 16+ from various clubs throughout Melbourne and Metropolitan Melbourne. The tournament is going to celebrate the participation of females in football and Melbourne Victory would love to invite you to come down with the whole family to help cheer on the girls!
The tournament details and rules have been given out to your clubs but please see below break down in age groups and pitch sizes.
Under 8s/10s/12s will be playing in the 4 vs 4 Tournament
Under 14s/16s will be playing in the 7 v 7 Tournament
Under 16+ will be playing in the 9 v 9 Tournament
Participants will be restricted to play in their age category (their age must be under the age category of the group). For example:
If you are aged 6 and 7 you can play Under 8s, if you are aged 8 or 9 you will play in the under 10s category. The tournament does not follow school years, only age of the child.
Clubs are required to register on the day no later than 9:00am, as the tournament will start at 10:30am.
