Melbourne Victory has added two players to an extended squad for Tuesday’s Round 7 catch-up game against Wellington Phoenix.

Alan Baro returns from suspension, while Max Beister has been promoted for the trip to New Zealand, with two players to be omitted before kick-off.

Baro missed Friday night’s 3-2 win over Brisbane Roar after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season in the Round 14 match against Adelaide United.

Besart Berisha is part of the squad after the red card he received in the game against Brisbane was overturned on Sunday.

Victory is second on the Hyundai A-League ladder, nine points clear of third-placed City and five points behind leaders Sydney FC.

The match against Phoenix, originally scheduled for November 19, was postponed after Westpac Stadium was damaged by an earthquake in New Zealand.

The two teams have met once already this season, with VictoryĀ prevailing 6-1 at Etihad Stadium on Melbourne Cup Eve.

The match will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 505 from 5.30pm AEDT, with kick-off at 5.45pm AEDT.
