Victory and AGL continue powerful partnership

Victory and AGL continue powerful partnership

Melbourne Victory Football Club is proud to announce the extension of its major partnership with AGL Energy.

The club and AGL have signed a two-year extension which will see the energy provider remain Victory’s Major Partner until the end of the 2021/22 season.

AGL is one of Australia’s leading integrated energy businesses and has been a proud supporter of the club since 2014. To learn more about AGL, click here.

As part of the ongoing partnership, AGL will remain the naming rights partner of the club’s Victory in Business networking functions as well as the Chairman’s Function on match days.

Victory CEO, Trent Jacobs, said it was fantastic to have AGL stand alongside the club for a further two years.

“We are thrilled to announce Melbourne Victory and AGL Energy will continue the relationship we first established back in 2014,” Jacobs said.

“To recommit to the club in the current environment speaks volumes of the leadership at AGL Energy, and on behalf of the entire football club, we thank AGL CEO, Brett Redman, and his staff for their ongoing loyalty and support.

“AGL has been a wonderful supporter of our strategic vision, both on and off the pitch, and have provided our members and fans with genuine value through their products and services.

“AGL will continue to be a presenting partner of our Victory in Business networking functions and our Chairman’s Function on match days, both of which have been incredibly successful business development environments.

“Looking to the future, we couldn’t be more pleased to have AGL standing alongside our club, as we aim to contend for silverware in the coming seasons.”

AGL General Manager Customer Channels, Jane Morwick, said AGL was proud to remain a part of the Melbourne Victory family.

“We had no hesitation in reaffirming our support for Melbourne Victory, particularly given the success of the partnership,” Ms Morwick said.

“We are also pleased to be able to continue to support the club during what we know has been a challenging year given the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This means AGL will continue to be the Naming Rights Partner of the Chairman’s Functions and Victory in Business, which is one of Australia’s largest corporate sport networking groups outside of game day.

“AGL is proud to support Australian businesses through the great work that Melbourne Victory does to encourage networking and business partnership growth.

“Our partnership with Australia’s biggest A-League club has been highly successful and we look forward to continuing our support of its network and its most passionate fan base.

“Victory members will also continue to enjoy the benefits of this relationship through special energy offers for partners.”
