Mehmet Durakovic has called on his Melbourne Victory team to deliver against Gold Coast United on Sunday.

Victory have managed just one win from seven matches so far this season, and had to suffer the disappointment of giving up a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home to the 10 men of Perth Glory last weekend.

The visit of bottom side Gold Coast to AAMI Park is the second in a run of four home matches for Victory in their next five outings and Durakovic knows Sunday’s game is the perfect opportunity to get back on track.

“It’s very critical,” he said when asked about the Gold Coast clash.

“We’ve only lost one game this year. And we’ve got four out of five games at home. We’ll do our best against the Gold Coast to rectify and get three points.”

“I can only promise the fans and supporters that we’ll really, really try hard on the training pitch and get everything that needs to be done to try and get three points this week.”

“We are a very big club, no doubt about that,” he added.

“The supporters, the fans, demand success. I demand success.”

“We’ve been working really, really hard on the pitch to get our consistency going.”

“We need to get our team shape right and hopefully we can put the ball in the back of the net and get going in this week’s game.”

“We need to be successful, simple as that. We need results. But like I said, we’ve only lost one game. And we’ll try and do whatever we can to get results this week against Gold Coast. “
