Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce it has appointed Trent Jacobs as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Jacobs, who is currently the club’s Chief Operating Officer, joined Melbourne Victory in 2007 and assumes the role vacated by Ian Robson in December.
Following an internal review and then a recruitment process with external consulting advice, Melbourne Victory Chairman Anthony Di Pietro said Jacobs was ready to take the reins.
“Trent has served a long apprenticeship and possesses a deep understanding of the club and football landscape, so he thoroughly deserves the opportunity to be Chief Executive of our great football club,” he said.
“Trent has worked across all facets of the business, as well as undertaking a variety of significant projects during his time with the club and has displayed all of the traits required to be an exceptional leader.”
“My fellow Directors and I were very impressed with Trent’s vision for the club and where he plans to take it, so from that perspective we’re in excellent hands,” added Di Pietro.
Jacobs, 41, will commence his new role on Monday, March 19.
