Melbourne Victory Chairman Anthony Di Pietro called for supporters to get behind the club, following a less than desirable season so far.

Di Pietro was speaking to over 1,200 people at a Victory in Business luncheon at Crown Palladium on Friday afternoon.

Victory in Business, proudly presented by AGL, offers an unparalleled networking opportunity with business leaders of Melbourne.

“At Melbourne Victory, we regroup and we refocus,” Di Pietro said.

“As it has been said, the strength of a family, like the strength of an army, lies in its loyalty to each other. And there is no family more loyal than the Melbourne Victory family.”

“Many in the football world are ready to write us off, and let them do so. Our team know that all of us are behind them.”

He also announced a three-year deal extension to the club’s partnership with La Ionica.

Former English cricketer Sir Ian Botham was the keynote speaker, providing guests with an engaging talk about his charity work, family life, friendships and sport.

TAC CEO Joe Calafiore spoke about the importance of safety on our roads and the work that the TAC has done to lower the road toll.

Proudly presented by AGL, Victory in Business is Australia’s largest sporting networking group outside of game day.
