The Melbourne Victory Ultimate Training Experience has provided over 1,000 junior footballers the opportunity to meet and complete a training session with some of Australian football-s elite over the past month.

Clinics were held across metropolitan Melbourne, rewarding the hard work of the dedicated junior players, coaches, team managers and families who ensure junior football is enjoyed each weekend.

Regional Victoria experienced Victory fever last weekend with the Victory Regional Roadshows, proudly supported by KFC, taking place in Geelong and Shepparton on Sunday.

Hundreds of children enjoyed a small-sided games clinic and autograph session with selected Victory players including Archie Thompson, Michael Theoklitos and Rodrigo Vargas.

Victory would like to acknowledge Football Federation Victoria for its assistance with the Regional Roadshows, and look forward to reaching more locations in 2009.

“Michael Theoklitos and Grant Brebner are a credit to Melbourne Victory,” Jeffery Booth, a parent from Clifton Hill Jets, said.

“They were so generous with their time, staying well after the coaching session to ensure every child had an autographed football, shirt or poster.”

“Rodrigo Vargas and Mitchell Langerak were so down to earth,” Helen Skouteris, a parent from Oakleigh Cannons, said.

“The boys loved every minute of their training session – one they will never forget.”

“Steve Pantelidis and Matthew Kemp were fantastic ambassadors for the club,” Rob Hastings, a parent from Cardinia United, said.

“Please pass on to both of them our sincere thanks and appreciation for their time and the superb way in which they engaged with everyone.

“It was a very memorable occasion for our little, but rapidly growing, club.”

New opportunities to rub shoulders with Victory players include the Samsung Super Clinics, which are back and better than ever this season.

All participants who register to take part in the clinics will automatically go into the draw for their chance to either walk out with Captain Kevin Muscat or toss the coin before Victory-s match against Sydney FC at Telstra Dome on Saturday, 27 December.

Places are strictly limited, so register your details to participate in this FREE clinic by clicking here and completing the registration form.
