Victory draws Perth Glory in FFA Cup

Melbourne Victory has been drawn to face Perth Glory in the FFA Cup Round of 32.

The match will be played at 8:30pm AEST on Tuesday, 7 August at nib Stadium.

Victory striker Kenny Athiu, who made his name in the FFA Cup while representing Heidelberg United, was representing the club at the draw

“It’s been a great journey for me,” Athiu said.

“The FFA Cup gave me the opportunity to be here today representing Melbourne Victory at the draw so I’m very grateful for the competition.”

Athiu recently signed a new two-year deal at Victory after impressing in his debut season at the club.

“I felt like I worked hard enough to earn that two-year contract and the boss, and the club, have shown faith in me.”
