Melbourne Victory hosted a program for secondary school students during the January school holidays, with the key aims to build teamwork & leadership and to develop skills to assist in gaining employment.

The initiative, supported by the Department of Education and Training, introduced students to a range of activities and new experiences.

The students involved came from a wide range of schools around Melbourne and were each nominated by their respective school to take part in the program.

The week included football, coaching and personal training sessions with Melbourne Victory Community coaches, a visit to Scienceworks and the Planetarium and a presentation from our community partners WorkSafe Victoria about young workers entering the workforce.

The students were also lucky enough to learn about 1850s Melbourne and the legacy of the Victorian gold rush at the Old Treasury building and receive a tour of Parliament House.
