Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce the signing of two Women’s National Premier League (WNPL) players in Polly Doran and Emma Robers for the Westfield W-League 2019/20 season.
The WNPL products both sign from Calder United and complete Victory’s W-League local signings roster.
Doran, 18, and Robers, 21, are two of the youngest players on Victory’s W-League list this season and Head Coach, Jeff Hopkins said the pair would provide an injection of talent into the squad.
“It’s always exciting to secure new young talent and we’ve found that with Polly and Emma,” said Hopkins.
“Squad balance is very important, and these two add that element of youth that we felt we needed to round out the squad.
“They’ll gain a lot from the experience ahead and I look forward to working with them both closely.”
Melbourne Victory will begin its W-League Premiership defence on Sunday, November 17 against reigning W-League Champions Sydney FC at Jubilee Stadium.
