From September 2 to September 6, a week of free events will take place across the country, including here in Melbourne, raising awareness about women’s health, while participants will also be able to pick up some handy information online.

Anyone who registers for free at www.womenshealthweek.com.au will be able to take part in a range of free events, including the launch at Federation Square on Monday, September 2.

The Jean Hailes Women-s Health Week has 5 key focus areas to help improve your health and wellbeing:
Wellness – staying well and preventing ill health
Ourselves- taking time for yourself and keeping balanced
Move – physical health, little steps = big rewards
Eat – eating well
Networking – staying connected, improving your emotional wellbeing

Melbourne Victory ‘keeper Nathan Coe said the club was happy to back a worthy cause.

“Melbourne Victory are happy to support the Jean Hailes Women-s Health Week and we hope that through our involvement, we can help spread key health messages to our extensive female supporter base,” Coe said.

“We look forward to being involved in future events and raising awareness for the Jean Hailes Women-s Health Week.”
