The stars of the future were on show on Tuesday night as Melbourne Victory continued their winning start to their 2012/13 pre-season with a 4-0 victory over a Football Federation Tasmania XI in Hobart.

First-half goals to Theo Markelis and Julius Davies set up the win at KGV Park before Mark Milligan and Danny Allsopp sealed the result after the break in front of a sell-out crowd of about 4000.

New signings Marcos Flores and Guilherme Finkler both had impressive starts as the visitors dominated possession in the first half.

Coach Ange Postecoglou made four changes at half-time with Archie Thompson, Allsopp, Petar Franjic, and Jonathan Bru replacing James Jeggo, Finkler, Flores and Markelis.

The hosts lifted early in the second stanza but when Milligan converted a penalty after Matthew Foschini was felled Victory had regained all the momentum.

Allsopp then made it two goals in two minutes to complete a productive pre-season hit-out for the two-time Hyundai A-League champions.

The strong showing comes on the back of recent pre-season wins against Victorian Premier League outfits Bentleigh Greens and Dandenong Thunder.
