The KFC Regional Roadshow-s 2011 kicked-off with a visit to Traralgon City Soccer Club. These visits provide a great opportunity for Melbourne Victory to not only thank its loyal members and supporters in regional Victoria, but also to continue the club-s support of our future stars of the game, particularly those playing Optus Small Sided Football.

Melbourne Victory players and staff, as well as student coaches from the Melbourne Victory SEDA program, visited the regional football hotspot last weekend. This free event saw small-sided football participants treated to giveaways, football fun and games and a meet and greet with four of the stars from Melbourne Victory. The players helped with specialized hints and tips and also signed autographs and posed for photos.

Young Victory striker, Luke O-Dea, has grown up in the regional area of Warragul said “It-s fantastic for us to have the opportunity to come out and see kids from junior clubs. I grew up around here and know how important it is for young footballers in regional Victoria to have access to this kind of thing”.

Melbourne Victory and KFC would like to thank Traralgon City Soccer Club for their assistance in hosting the event as well as the participants who were engaged in the day-s activities.

The KFC Regional Roadshows will visit a further 4 regional centers this weekend with selected players travelling to Bendigo and Shepparton on Saturday July 30, and Geelong and Ballarat on Sunday July 31.
