Melbourne Victory Women will embark on its second road trip in as many weeks when it takes on Adelaide United Women at Hindmarsh Stadium this Saturday.

Victory Women are coming off a testing trip to Brisbane, where it went down to ladder leader Queensland Roar Women at Ballymore Stadium.

Victory Women was soundly beaten away from home in tough conditions and will face a similar test against Adelaide Women, which currently occupy the position above Victory Women on the Westfield W-League ladder.

Victory Women will have to cover the loss of star midfielder Louisa Bisby, who could be sidelined for the rest of the season after breaking her collarbone in Queensland.

Bisby rose for a header but collided with her opponent and her presence and composure will be missed through the middle of the park.

Bisby was understandably disappointed with the injury.

”It-s not ideal but hopefully it can heal quickly,” Bisby said.

”They couldn-t plaster it or anything so it just needs time to heal.

”They say it could take up to eight weeks which is pretty frustrating but we-ll just see how it comes along and take it from there.”

Victory Women Captain Tal Karp will assume even more responsibility through the middle of the pitch in Bisby-s absence, while the versatile Sarah Groenewald could also spend more time through there.

The match will kick off at 3pm AEDT on Saturday.

Victory Women-s next home match will be against Newcastle Jets Women at Epping Stadium on Saturday, 6 December.
