As he prepares for his last game in charge of Melbourne Victory, Ange Postecoglou says he has mixed emotions about coaching the club for the final time.

After being appointed head coach of the Socceroos earlier this week, Postecoglou said the full reality of the situation hadn’t sunk in yet, with his focus now on Friday night’s clash against Brisbane Roar.

“It doesn’t feel like the final game, it didn’t feel like a final training session,” Postecoglou said.

“I guess it will probably hit me on Monday when I come in (to the club) and I walk out (to the training pitch) and I probably shouldn’t be out there – it’s obviously been a big week, but really been conscious of making sure everyone at the club is focused on Friday night, because it is a big game for us.”

Postecoglou has a full squad to choose from as he faces his former side, with the exception of marquee man, Pablo Contreras, who misses Friday’s match through suspension.

“Both sides like to play good, attacking football, so in terms of a spectacle I think it will be a good one.”
