Melbourne Victory's Championship winning W-League side will take on Canberra United, ahead of Victory's huge Round 3 Melbourne Derby at Etihad Stadium.
Speaking at Etihad Stadium today, Victory stars Adrian Leijer and Brianna Davey said they were thrilled both teams would be able to perform at a world-class venue on one of the most anticipated fixtures for the 2014/15 Hyundai A-League season.
"To play a double header in front of the men is awesome and hopefully it will help the league grow and help women's football grow," Davey said.

"It's before a massive Melbourne derby so it's fantastic for the girls to get the opportunity to play before the men," Leijer said.
“Women's football in this country's come a long way. The more this happens, it's going to continue to grow."
Etihad Stadium CEO Paul Sergeant said the match would provide a great sporting spectacle for all Victory fans.
"We know we've got the Melbourne Derby, which is going to be a huge occasion," Mr Sergeant said.
"Ladies football in this country has come a long way. The quality of football is fantastic and we encourage people to come down and watch the games and get behind the Melbourne Victory ladies."
