Muscat said he was unlikely to make any changes to the side that took home the three points in last week’s Melbourne Derby, with Thompson still not yet at full fitness.
“Archie’s been training, he’s tracking well and he’s had a little bit of a setback, so he’s not available for this weekend,” Muscat said.
“He got through last week and we prepared to play with him (in the Derby). Credit to him last week as well, it was a selfless decision that he made.
“I thought we did very well last weekend, we played extremely well. It’s another test for us this week – they keep coming thick and fast but one that we are relishing – it should be a good game of football.”
