Melbourne Victory’s leading goalscorer this season, James Troisi, says his side is ready to rise to the challenge of playing in both the Asian Champions League and the Hyundai A-League.

Press play on the video above to hear Troisi’s thoughts on qualification for the AFC Champions League, plus his thoughts on Saturday night’s blockbuster against Adelaide United.

Troisi, who scored the first goal in Saturday’s Champions League qualifier, said he was thrilled the club had won its way to the group stages of the ACL.

“I think its fantastic for me and for the club,” Troisi said.

“It-s another six games guaranteed and it-s going to be a tough schedule.

“We’ve got a good group here, and even the ones that aren-t playing regularly are doing really well at training.”

With an in-form Adelaide United coming to town on Saturday, Troisi said he was looking forward to taking on the Reds.

“They-ve been doing really well recently, it-s going to be a tough game for us,” he said.

“For me, it-s just going to be another Saturday game. We-ve just got to be careful to not get caught and not concede easy goals.”
