Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat says his side is prepared for a motivated Yokohama F. Marinos outfit, ahead of the Match Day 4 clash in the AFC Champions League.

Muscat said despite several big names staying behind in Melbourne, he was confident of returning to Australia with at least a point in the bag.

“Like the other three games, we believe we’ve picked the best available team to go and win the football game,” Muscat said.

With Melbourne Victory sitting in third in Group G, a win on Match Day 4 will go a long way to helping Victory qualify for the next stage of the tournament, but Muscat said he was focused on the game at hand and not looking too far in to the future.

“I don’t want to get bogged down on win or what a point would do for us,” he said.

“The one thing is certain, they’ve really got to win to give themselves a realistic chance from the group, that might play in our hands.”
